My Future, My Way Employment Pathways Program

About

Throughout the program, participants build confidence, independence and practical employment-readiness skills. Where appropriate, and with the participant’s consent, Emerge Learning can collaborate with other professionals and employment services to support consistent goals and positive outcomes.

Throughout the program, participants will:

  • Identify their strengths, interests, and abilities
  • Explore barriers that may impact employment and independence
  • Develop realistic employment and life goals
  • Create a personalised pathway plan
  • Learn strategies to overcome challenges in the workplace
  • Explore workplace adjustments and supports that promote success
  • Build the skills, confidence, and resilience needed to achieve employment outcomes

Who is this program for?

My Future, My Way is designed for participants who want to explore employment, develop workplace skills and build confidence for their next steps. The program may suit:

  • School leavers preparing for the transition from school to employment or further training
  • Young people and adults with Finding and Keeping a Job goals in their NDIS plan
  • Participants who want to explore their strengths, interests and employment possibilities
  • People who would like support developing confidence, independence and workplace readiness
  • Participants seeking practical experience with communication, teamwork, organisation and following workplace routines
  • People returning to employment or considering a new vocational direction
  • Participants who may benefit from a gradual, individualised pathway toward volunteering, training or paid employment

Programs are tailored to each participant’s individual goals, abilities, interests and preferred pace. Participation does not require someone to already know what kind of work they want to pursue—the program can support them to explore suitable possibilities.
